Time

For long have I been in bed
Wondering what 'Time' is

Time that shows
Every Face of our life

Time that is there
To be never back

Time that brings
To light every possibility and miss

Time that brings us
Every hope and despair

Time that brings us
Joy with Sorrow

Time to witness every
Life and Death

Time that is there
To hold me tight

But time that is there
Never to be Held

World That Is Shared

The days would sure enough
Change into years

The memories change into
tears of joy;

Each chapter of life will
surely be read;

The gifts of God would
one day be realized;

The book of thoughts will
someday be closed;

The life ahead too
one day must end;

Everything will end but
few things remain;

Will remain forever
the little World that is Shared.

Life

Alone I sit in one corner

With darkness around my side

Alone I sit in one corner

Wondering why You and I exist

Life's a 'Stage' they say

With us all Acting on same;

and appearance of us as

characters to play

Life's a 'Story' so long to narrate;

initiated by many

Yet concluded by none

Life's a 'Show' with showmen big

Though spectators none

And having begun this 'Story'

myself

Alone I sit Wondering where to

Stop

Wonder Why

Why is it that

The Life's Short

Yet the Task so Big;

Theme of a novel is of Few Words

Yet the novel so Big;

Dreams are never Ending

Yet the sleep Fixed;

Needs are Few

Yet desires have no Limit;

Capabilities are to one's Limit

Yet expectations always High;

Wonder Why is

Lord's creation so Clear

Yet the Creator still

Doubted.

A Thought

Sitting far away from Homeland,

thinking about my people,

my country, my dreams;

I wake up with a tear drop,

A terror seeing Shadow in Darkness.
In search and certainty of Shadow I see;
Here I begin my search for Light;
Light that shows us Way and Hope;
Light that lets the Dark Shadows

Disappear.

I wrote this poem sometime in 1998 when we lived in US, desiring to be back in India. We returned in early 2005.
